COMMELL's R4AB-976 is the industrial 4U 19" rackmount Intel Pentium 4 level industrial server / workstation platform. Based on Intel socket 478 Pentium 4 / Celeron architecture and PICMG industrial standard, R4AB-976 features the Intel's latest Pentium 4 @ 533 MHz FSB and DDR memory solution, integrated advanced SVGA with 64 MB DDR333 SGRAM video memory, dual LAN and optional dual channel Ultra160 SCSI interfaces, embedded flash disk supported and high expansibility of multiple PCI/ISA expansive slots with optional configuration. Powerful Computing Capacity Based on the built-in COMMELL FS-976 PICMG CPU card, the R4AB-976 offers the advanced computing capacity with Intel Pentium 4 CPU @ 533/400 MHz FSB and 2 GB of DDR SDRAM with ECC. The advanced 533 MHz FSB offers the 4.3 GBytes/sec. of data transfer bandwidth for the CPU, and 2.1 GBytes/sec. of data transfer bandwidth for the system memory. Both of they enhances the system performance with Intel 845E chipset solution. Advanced Onboard 64 MB Video Memory COMMELL's R4AB-976 integrates with COMMELL's advanced FS-976 PICMG Pentium 4 CPU card, offers the onboard 4xAGP SVGA with 256-bit 3D engine and onboard 64 MB DDR333 SGRAM for the video/image processing application. With the outstanding performance on VGA interface makes R4AB-976 be the ideal solution for VoD (Video on Demand), digital video recorder (DVR), broadcasting (DVB), streaming, monitoring and surveillance, compression (MPEG) and other high-end industrial video / image server / workstation applications. Integrated Dual LAN and SCSI Interface The FS-976 SBC in COMMELL's R4AB-976 platform integrates with onboard dual Intel PRO/100+ LAN and PC/104-plus based dual channel Ultra160 SCSI interfaces. It makes COMMELL's R4AB-976 be the ideal solution for networking / CTI application with the dual Intel PRO/100+ LAN, that provides the redundant, double speed or external / internal networking application; the built-in SCSI interface and external three 5.25" drive bay also offer the enough expansibility for the SCSI based DDS-3/4 DAT devices for CT server platform. Multiple PCI/ISA Expansibility R4AB-976 offers 12-slot free PCI/ISA expansive bus interfaces with high reliable Intel PCI bridge and/or ISA 64mA high drive capacity. This feature makes R4AB-976 platform provide the high expansibility for multiple PCI-/ISA-based add-on cards installed for the industrial PC solution. The flexible expansibility includes 12 PCI slots, 12 ISA slots, 7 PCI and 5 ISA slots, 4 PCI and 8 ISA slots for customized option. High Reliable System Configuration The high reliability of R4AB-976 comes from the rugged construction and system integrated solution as below. The onboard M-systems embedded flash disk interface for embedded OS, driver and AP; the advanced construction provides the anti-vibration/shock drive bay, dust-proof air filter for the critical environment; and the redundant power supply also enhance the life of the system.
