The PC-SIO+850 card provides a single high-speed PCMCIA serial link to modems, terminals, printers or other data collection equipment. Designed using the XR16C850 UART, the card provides deep 128-byte FIFOs, 8 times more buffer capacity than products using 16C550 compatible devices. This allows increased throughput, greater reliability, and reduced system overhead at high speeds.
Simply plug the PC-SIO+850 card into a PCMCIA drive slot and the card is transparently configured by the system. We include our Advanced COM drivers for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 providing IRQ sharing, Windows serial diagnostics, and other enhanced features. Our Linux and QNX utilities are also included to simplify installation.
