The Momentum Computer Cheetah-V is an Intel Pentium® M processor based VMEbus Single Board Computer, in a 6U form factor, operating at 1.1, 1.6 or 1.8 GHz core frequency with a 400 MHz front-side bus. The 1.8 GHz version features an on-chip 2 Mb L2 cache.
The Cheetah-V provides all the memory and I/O resources for embedded computing and control tasks.
The board incorporates the Intel E7501 memory controller that supports a 144-bit wide memory interface comprised of dual 72-bit DDR200 channels. ECC is also incorporated into each channel for single bit error correction and multi-bit error detection. An Intel 82801CA ICH3-S I/O Controller Hub provides extensive system I/O support.
Two 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports are provided at front panel RJ45 connectors, along with USB, keyboard, mouse, serial and VGA graphics interfaces. Additionally, there are USB. serial, parallel, FDD, audio (speaker/mic) and IDE interfaces available via the VME P2 connector.
In addition to an on-board PMC slot, the Cheetah-V has provision for adding two additional high-speed PMC slots with the use of a PMC carrier board. The carrier board occupies the adjacent VME slot on the component side of the Cheetah-V and connects with a high speed mezzanine connector. The PMC carrier also contains two CompactFlash sockets which support 3.3V mass storage devices.
The board auto-detects and will assume system controller functionality when installed in slot 1.
