The Accordance ARAID family of RAID storage controllers add hard disk data protection to any computer. The ARAID internal and external units connect to your motherboard via IDE, SATA, USB or eSATA ports.

The ARAID features an advanced Accordance RAID1 controller board that keeps mirrored copies of data on two hard drives. No software or additional hardware is needed to operate the ARAID. Each disk is mounted in removable, hot-swappable drive trays that are hot swappable. Extra ARAID trays can be used for off-site storage replacing the need for tape.

ARAID units connect directly to your computer through the appropriate port. The unit appears to the computer as a single, standard hard drive but maintains identical data on two hard disk drives (RAID 1 Disk Mirroring) installed in the ARAID unit.

If one disk fails, the ARAID automatically uses the one remaining good drive which contains 100% of your data. The computer will continue to operate without interruption. Hotswap capability allows the failed hard drive to be replaced and rebuilt without rebooting.

ARAID units support all popular computing platforms including Windows, Linux and MacIntosh. Attaching an ARAID to a computer’s existing IDE controller instantly provides sophisticated data protection using RAID 1 (disk mirroring), to backup user data, operating systems, applications, databases, and open files.
