- Uses the OX16PCI954 and OX16C954 which each contain four 16C950 UARTs
- Contain 128 byte transmit and receive FIFOs enabling sustained high data rates
- In RS232 mode up to1M baud is available with an 8 signal interface and for RS422/485 up to 12M baud with 4 signal interface
- SCSI-II style connector is used to route all channels to the front panel and they are also available via the PMC P4 connector for rear I/O
